Galapagos Giant Tortoise

3DS Max 2010, Mental Ray, Zbrush, Photoshop, Fusion

This model was created for Zbrush practice using custom alphas and detail sculpting and texturing. The various maps in the shader were created from photographs, exported ZBrush height and cavity maps and photoshop painted. The tortoise actually has the incorrect number of toes on it's rear feet. The fruit in it's mouth is a prickly pear fruit, a common staple of giant tortoises on the Galapagos islands.
